Rashad Evans out of UFC 205 bout with Tim Kennedy due to medical issue
If you thought it was too good to be true, it probably was. This Saturday’s highly anticipated UFC 205 fight card has suffered a loss just days away from one of the biggest sporting events in history. According to several sources, former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans has been removed from his middleweight fight with Tim Kennedy.
With Dana White right now, tells me Evans/Kennedy is off due to an issue with Evans's medicals. More info to come.

Just landed in New York. It sounds like my fight with @SugaRashadEvans is off. I do not have official word. #ufc205

The nature of the medical issue has not yet been revealed. This was to be Evans’ middleweight debut as he sought out his first win since November 2013 when he defeated Chael Sonnen.
Kennedy has not competed since a September 2014 loss to Yoel Romero. It is uncertain whether the UFC is seeking to find a last minute replacement for the mega-card like they did at UFC 200 when Anderson Silva was brought in to fight Daniel Cormier on just days notice.
UFC 205 features three title fights and takes place Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York with the main card airing on pay-per-view following preliminary bouts on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
