Reggie Barnett Jr. “Johnny and I are fighting 3 times!”

This Friday, August 20th, BKFC returns to Biloxi, Mississippi for BKFC 20!

Headlining the card will be none other than the rematch between former champ, “Brutal” Johnny Bedford taking on Reggie “Educated Hands” Barnett Jr.

In their first meeting, Barnett Jr. came out on the short end in their championship battle. This time around, Barnett is determined not to let his time seize through the cracks.

Barnett Jr. has since racked up three consecutive and impressive wins. Two, coming by way of stoppage. In his last outing, Barnett Jr. took out former boxing world champion, DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley via 4th round stoppage, as Corley quit on his stool.

With a bigger mission than championship belts on his mind, Barnett felt as of late that he’s strayed from his destiny. After the recent passing of a close friend, Barnett had to dig deep to recover his “Why”. A win over Johnny Bedford on Friday evening will serve as a culmination of life efforts, struggles, and sacrifices. A multitude of trials and tribulations coming full circle when Barnett hears BKFC announcer, Jeff Houston shout his name as the “New BKFC bantamweight champion.”

“I know god and that person (A recent friend of Barnett) are seeing the growth,” Barnett says. “Not just as a fighter but as a human being and the work that I’m doing in my community. And amongst the people around me and that it’s starting to radiate into the world,” he emotionally expresses. “And that’s the biggest thing for me!”

As for the fans, in Barnett’s head, the trilogy between him and Bedford is already written after this weekend. “Johnny and I are fighting 3 times,” Barnett Jr. convincingly says. “The fans are the real winners,” Barnett Jr. definitively says with a laugh.
