Renato Moicano vs. Jai Herbert targeted for UFC’s June 26 event
Renato Moicano is looking to get back on the winning track and on June 26 he’ll have the chance to do that.
Moicano (14-4-1) will fight former Cage Warriors champion Jai Herbert in a lightweight bout scheduled for a UFC Fight Night on Jun 26. MMA Junkie was first to report the news of the fight.
The 31-year-old Moicano has lost three of his last four fights in which is the toughest stretch of career. He lost back-to-back by TKO to former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and former title challenger Chan Sung Jung, who is also known as “The Korean Zombie.” Following the losses, he snuck back into the win column with a 44-second submission over Damir Hadzovic. However, after that win, he suffered another knockout defeat to Rafael Fiziev at UFC 256.
Herbert (10-2) made his octagon debut over in July against Francisco Trinaldo. Herbert had two success rounds in the fight before Trinaldo brutally knocked him out in the final round.
