Interview with Rinat Fakhretdinov below

Rinat Fakhretdinov (23-2-1) discusses his welterweight fight against Nursulton Ruziboev (34-9-2) at UFC 308 on Oct. 26. Rinat also spoke about fighting in Abu Dhabi for the first time in his UFC career, why he thinks Colby Covington should retire and how he was hesitant to fight his opponent prior to accepting the matchup.

“Actually, I’m friends with Nursulton, I’ve been visiting his home country Uzbekistan. I have a gift in my house he gave me, a dagger.  And we’re actually in a good connection. If it was up to me, I wouldn’t fight him. But UFC made the decision, and I had to accept the fight.”
