Ring announcer Kody “Big Mo” Mommaerts looks ahead to this year and outlines his plans for 2022. Mo also spoke about working for XMMA last year, some of his goals for this year and the impact Combate Global President and UFC founder Campbell McLaren has had on his career.
“I’ve got to connect with people like Campbell McLaren. (He) was the creator of the UFC originally and he hired both Joe Rogan and Bruce Buffer. And he’s been a big help for me and a big mentor with me. He’s been able to guide me and he likes my work. Early on in 2021, I connected with a lot of people who knew a lot about the industry and were very experienced. I was very already confident in my abilities but it really changed my perspective because now I was getting these opinions of people I’ve worked with. Frank Mir is another one, Robin Black … it showed an opportunity for me.”
