Ryan Jones: “I don’t see it really going past the third round”
Full video interview above with Ryan Jones discussing Brandon Johnson at BKFC Fight Night: Jackson.
Coming off of an abrupt and dominant stoppage win over Kaine Thomlinson in August at BKFC 20, Ryan “The Juggernaut” Jones is eager to continue pushing the momentum forward in just a few short days.
On January 29th, Jones is set to take on Brandon Johnson at BKFC Fight Night: Jackson. While Johnson is searching for his first win in the world of bate knuckle fighting against Jones, he’s no rookie to fighting without gloves. Coming up short at his Gamebred Fighting Championship’s debut and in a barnburner against Isaac Doolittle, Johnson has been tested by fire. Surely, a feat that Jones doesn’t take lightly.
Jones has been quite vocal in the past about stepping up his level of competition in hopes for a title shot sooner than later. “After I beat Brandon Johnson, I want them to give me someone that’s like, ‘If Ryan wins this, he needs to be next up for the title,” Jones says with conviction.
With an added sense of motivation, Jones’ only child, his daughter will be ringside for her father’s big night under the bright lighted. She is fully aware of her father’s profession, and watches him perform on television, regularly. However, in fight night, “I’m fighting like they’re trying to get to her,” Jones suggests with a protective parenting tone.
When asked for a prediction of how Jones’ bout with Johnson will play out, he says, “I don’t see it really going past the third”
