Sean Brady out of UFC 290 fight against Jack Della Maddalena due to injury
UFC 290 has taken a hit as Sean Brady is out of his scrap.
According to Twitter user, @Bendaman2001 and later confirmed by FullSendMMA, Brady has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been forced to pull out of his UFC 290 fight against Jack Della Maddalena. The outlet reported that Brady is in the hospital and can’t compete next week. UFC 290 goes down on July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and is headlined by a featherweight title fight as Alexander Volkanovski takes on Yair Rodriguez.
At this time, it’s uncertain if Della Maddalena will receive a replacement opponent or perhaps will just be moved to the Australia card in September.
Sean Brady (15-1) is coming off his first career loss as he suffered a TKO loss to Belal Muhammad back at UFC 280 last October. Prior to that, he was 5-0 in the UFC and beat Michael Chiesa by decision. His other four wins in the UFC are over Jake Matthews by submission, Christian Aguilera by submission, Ismail Naurdiev by decision, and Court McGee by decision.
Jack Della Maddalena (14-2) is a perfect 4-0 in the UFC and coming off a first-round submission victory over Randy Brown back in February. All four of his wins have come by first-round stoppage, while the first three were by TKO as he beat Danny Roberts, Ramazan Emeev, and Pete Rodriguez.
