Sean Brady to make UFC debut against Court McGee in Boston
Philadelphia’s own Sean Brady (10-0) will finally make his long-awaited UFC debut when he meets Court McGee (19-8) in Boston on October 18 according to a report from MMAJunkie.
Brady, who is undefeated with 10 wins, is a former Cage Fury Fighting Championships welterweight champion. He was signed to the UFC earlier this year and was expected to make his debut when the promotion hit his hometown of Philly in March. Brady was also previously undefeated as an amateur mixed martial artist with a perfect 4-0 record there.
McGee came to the UFC after winning the Ultimate Fighter Season 11 in 2010. A seasoned veteran of the sport, McGee has had his ups and downs during his tenure with the UFC promotion. In his last 10 outings McGee has split his win-loss record at five each. McGee lost a hard fought split decision in his last contest against Dhiego Lima.
The UFC on ESPN 6 event is headlined by a light heavyweight bout between former middleweight champion Chris Weidman and rising star Dominick Reyes, and takes place at the TD Garden.
The UFC has not officially announced the Brady-McGee matchup. A source who wished to remain anonymous confirmed the pairing to MMAJunkie.
