Sean O’Malley announces he is returning at UFC 258
Sean O’Malley will look to get back into the win column on Feb. 13 at UFC 258.
O’Malley is coming off his first career loss to Marlon Vera at UFC 252. Since the loss, many wondered when and who he would fight again, and “Suga” took to Instagram to announce he will return at UFC 258.

“Feb 13th Las Vegas. Suga Show back in action,” O’Malley wrote.
Who Sean O’Malley will fight on that date is uncertain at this time. However, it will be the first time he fights since the loss where he was very disappointed in the result as he says he is better Vera and blamed the ankle for the loss.
“We picked the date, we picked the time, and we both walked out. It doesn’t matter what the f**k happens. Whoever wins, how it happens, however they win, wins. He won. It sucks for me, because I lost to someone who I look at as not very good,” O’Malley said on his podcast after the loss. “I look at him, and I’m like, he’s not that good. And I f*****g lost to him. That’s what’s the most frustrating thing. Losing to someone I’m better than. That humble post was a f*****g joke. So for everyone commenting stupid s**t, I’m not humble.”
Sean O’Malley is 12-1 and is 4-1 inside the Octagon with KO wins over Eddie Wineland and Jose Quinonez. However, many are worried about his ankle given it gave out in his fights against Marlon Vera and Andre Soukhamthath and his future opponents could look to go after it.
Who O’Malley will fight on the card is uncertain at this point. But, it is likely it won’t be a ranked guy as the UFC will look to get the Suga Show back on track with a win.
UFC 258 is expected to be headlined by a welterweight title fight between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns.
