Sergei Kharitonov signs with Bellator MMA
Russian striker Sergei Kharitonov has signed with Bellator MMA. It is the second big signing for the organization this week, having signed former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson on Monday.
Kharitonov (23-5) is currently on a five-fight win-streak holds a win over current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum, as well as knockout wins over Alistair Overeem and Andrei Arlovski.
The Russian really made a named for himself in Pride Fighting Championship and later in organizations like Dream, K-1, and M-1.
At 35 years of age and 16-years in the sports, Kharitonov has a wealth of experience and presents a problem for fighters in the Bellator MMA heavyweight division.
No word just yet on who Kharitonov will fight in his Bellator debut.
