Seven years after last fight, Travis Browne released from UFC contract
Travis Browne, 41, has been released from his UFC contract, seven years after his last fight with the promotion according to a report from MMA Fighting. “Per officials, Browne didn’t notify the UFC of a retirement,” the article read.
“Hapa” Browne (18-7-1) had 17 fights with the promotion including four consecutive losses at the tail end of his career. He fought the likes of former UFC heavyweight champions Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum, and Andrei Arlovski.
He is married to former UFC and WWE champion Ronda Rousey. The couple has one daughter together.
