What’s On The Minds Of The Stars Of UFC Fight Night Denver?
Las Vegas – As fight night approaches, here is what the stars of UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: SHEVCHENKO vs. PENA had to say leading up to their Saturday night matchups:
Valentina Shevchenko: “It’s a very important fight, not only because it’s very close to a title shot, but because every fight is very important to me. For each fight, I prepare like it’s my last fight and I know exactly what victory can bring me. I am very motivated for this. I feel very great and I push myself to the limit every time.”
Julianna Pena: “My mind is my biggest weapon in the Octagon. My determination is my biggest weapon in the Octagon. I can beat anyone at 135-pounds that steps in the Octagon with me. I think, 110 percent, the winner of this fight is getting a title shot. Numbers one and two are going at it and the winner definitely deserves a crack at the belt.”
Donald Cerrone: “I am so excited to fight at home, we’re going to blow the roof off this place on Saturday night. Home court, home turf, I don’t know what that means but I feel like I have some kind of advantage. I’m looking to finish; I’m looking for a second-round finish. Hopefully a win puts me in line for the number one contender.”
Jorge Masvidal: “This week has been great, I’m ready to fight. I’m doing what I love to do. I think Cowboy is easy money. I see me beating his a**, I don’t know if I finish or if I just beat his a** for three rounds, but I’m beating him. I prefer to leave the judges out of it, I prefer to fight.”
Andrei Arlovski: “Fighting is easy, but it’s a little bit cold in Denver. Francis is big, cocky and strong. He said he was going to knock me out in the first round, but we’ll see how it happens.”
Francis Ngannou: “I’m very excited to fight Andrei Arlovski. I will probably finish him. My first choice is by knockout, second maybe by submission – but knockout first. I know that the fight is going to be strong and hard, but I expect to finish him before the end of the fight.”
