Superlek Defeats Rodtang Via Unanimous Decision In Explosive Muay Thai Super Fight
ONE Championship (ONE) hosted a historic evening of martial arts action at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, as two of the greatest Muay Thai practitioners of this generation went head-to-head in an epic super fight.
In the main event, ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 went to war with ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a 140-pound Catchweight Muay Thai Super Fight, taking home a unanimous decision victory after three explosive rounds.
Both fighters came out of the gates in round one throwing heat at the center of the ring. In the thick of the action, Rodtang connected with a sneaky upward elbow that opened up a cut on Superlek’s forehead.
“The Kicking Machine” then answered the call for round two with a sense of urgency. He turned up the pressure and fired powerful combinations at Rodtang, who was forced on the back foot. Superlek then blasted “The Iron Man” with a furious combination in the corner, scoring a significant knockdown that turned the tide of the contest.
In the third frame, Superlek and Rodtang brought the crowd to their feet with intense action, going back and forth in the final three minutes to close the show on a high note.
After three breathless rounds, Superlek did just enough to eke past Rodtang and earn a clean sweep on the scorecards.
