Taylor Johnson full Bellator 245 post-fight press conference
Taylor Johnson wasted no time in his Bellator debut tonight, Friday, Sept. 11.
Johnson submitted former Penn State wrestler Ed Ruth via first-round reverse heel hook at Bellator 245 inside the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. Ruth came out aggressive and earned the takedown.
Johnson quickly adjusted and attacked Ruth’s ankle from his back. Johnson looked to attack the heel hook, but Ruth defended by landing punches.
Johnson rolled to the other side and locked in the reverse heel hook, earning the tap from Ruth.
Johnson rebounded from a first-round submission loss to Andre Muniz on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2019. He improved to 6-1 as a professional.
