Thanh Le vs. Kai Tang set to headline ONE 160
ONE Championship’s featherweight champion, Thanh Le, returns to action on August 26th and will defend his belt against Kai Tang. Tang is on a 9 fight winning streak and has won five with the promotion. The fight will headline ONE 160.
ONE 160: Thanh Le vs. Kai Tang
Thanh Le is coming off the biggest win of his career against Garry Tonon in his last fight. Le knocked out Garry Tonon at ONE: Lights Out when many expected Tonon to come home with the title. Tonon dove in on a haphazard leg lock and Le responded with ground and pound that saw Tonon knocked out cold and Le prove the doubters wrong with the biggest win of his career.
Le’s opponent at ONE 160 is Kai Tang as mentioned. Tang has a heavy pair of hands that’s seen his last three fights finished in the first round. According to Tapology, Tang is the number one lightweight out of China and his last three wins over Ryogo Takahashi, Chang Min Yoon, and Jae Woong Kim prove it. He looks to show that he’s not only only the best fighter in China but the best in the world.
ONE 160 will take place on August 26th and ONE 161 takes place a day later in a double header for ONE Championship. That second card will feature the rematch between Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson. These two cards will be the debut weekend on Amazon Prime for ONE Championship. No other fights have been made official for either ONE 160 or 161 at this time.
It seems that ONE Championship is looking to start off their Amazon debut with a bang putting together two great fights to headline two cards.
