Tiffany Teo vs Meng Bo bolsters ONE: Heavy Hitters

Tiffany Teo vs Meng Bo is going down at ONE: Heavy Hitters on January 14th. ONE Championship’s 2022 schedule is starting to fill out and the organization again returns to Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The initial report came via The Straits Times. An internal source to ONE Championship has since confirmed the bout booking when I reached out.

Teo is looking to bounce back into the win column after a failed ONE strawweight world title bid. This was her second time challenging Xiong Jing Nan for the strap and the loss came via unanimous decision at ONE: Inside The Matrix in October 2020.

No Chill is returning to the Circle after over a year of competitive dormancy and seems hungry to notch her tenth professional mixed martial arts victory.

Bo is also aiming to get back on the winning track after falling short in advancing within the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix. She lost via unanimous decision to Ritu Phogat at ONE: Empower in September.

Tiffany Teo cut her teeth in Singapore FC and Full Metal Dojo across her first three fights. But has since been competing solely in the ONE Circle.

Teo has notable wins over fellow ONE strawweight title challenger Michelle Nicolini and future strawweight championship contender Ayaka Miura.

Meng Bo made her name across a few promotions (WLF, Superstar Fight, Fight Nights Global, and Glory of Heroes to name a few). This before signing with ONE Championship where she since has accrued a 3-1 record specifically in the Circle.

Bo has significant victories over Lin Heqin, Laura Balin, and eventual UFC strawweight world champion Weili Zhang (both were MMA debutants at the time of the bout).

ONE Championship has revealed several other cards for their first quarter of 2022 schedule as the new calendar year looms. ONE: Only The Brave goes down on January 28th. With follow-up events outlined for February 11th, February 25th, March 11th, and March 26th.
