Tony Ferguson sends support to Dustin Poirier, tells the UFC to pay him
After news came out about a possible fight between Tony Ferguson and Dustin Poirier being put off due to the UFC not being able to come to terms with Poirier, “El Cucuy” took to social media to call for the UFC and Dana White to give Poirier what he deserves.

It’s clear that this is a fight that both Ferguson and Poirier would like to have for themselves and it’s certainly a fight that fans have been calling for since the initial rumors of it being made came out. Poirier would later respond to Ferguson, noting his appreciation for Ferguson looking to help him out.
Tony's the type of guy who would manage his opponent and get him a new contract for the fight to happen.

“Tony’s the type of guy who would manage his opponent and get him a new contract for the fight to happen.”
The fight between Tony Ferguson and Poirier had been scheduled to take place at UFC 254 in October which is set to be headlined by a lightweight title fight between champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and interim champion Justin Gaethje. The placement of the fight between Poirier and Ferguson being on the same card as the title fight, likely meant title implications for whoever was to come out the winner, facing whoever walks away the champion in October.
After being asked about the possibility of the fight happening, UFC President Dana White told media members last week that the fight was off, the UFC was not looking to salvage it, and another opponent was being sought out for Ferguson, who is likely to remain on the card at UFC 254. Poirier has won five out of his last six fights, his only loss coming to Nurmagomedov, while picking up wins over Dan Hooker, Max Holloway, Eddie Alvarez, Justin Gaethje, and Anthony Pettis.
