Transgender MMA title fight to take place in New Jersey
Critical Combat has announced the first mixed martial arts title bout between two transgender combat sport athletes.
Going down June 20, 2026, in Middletown, New Jersey, Summer Brady and Gita Figueroa, will compete for the undisputed Critical Combat Femme Championship in a bout contested at Super Lightweight.

Summer Brady, born Sean Brady (not the UFC fighter), has an amateur Muay Thai record of 3-2.
Gita Figueroa holds an amateur MMA record of 1-2 and has several bouts in both kickboxing and Muay Thai.
Brady and Figueroa fought under Muay Thai rules in December with Gita coming out on top by way of unanimous decision.
