Triton Fights 3: Weigh-in Results – Puglia vs. DeRiso
In the main event, Vincent DeRiso (6-2) will be battling Jeremy Puglia (4-1) for the middleweight title. Win or lose, Jeremy Puglia can be the only one in the headliner Friday night that can leave with the middleweight title. He came in on weight, but his opponent did not. Since DeRiso didn’t successfully make weight he can no longer win the Triton Fights middleweight title, but the bout will still take place.
Vincent DeRiso posted this statement on Facebook after the weigh-ins.
In the co-main event, Clint Patterson (2-1) of C1 MMA, is scheduled to battle Eric Taylor (4-4) of Team Demolition for the USMTA welterweight title. The third title up for grabs Friday night is between Michael Sanders (4-2) of 914 Muay Thai, and Bellmore Kickboxing/MMA’s Codie Payne (4-3). Payne and Sanders will be competing for the Triton Fights lightweight title.
