Troy Wittman: I’m going to take Will Martinez’ hype home with me
Philadelphia mixed martial arts legend Will Martinez was to go up against World Cagefighting Championships’ featherweight champion, Jordan Morales, in what was scheduled to be a catchweight fight next month at WCC 18. That was until Morales was sidelined with an injury and a replacement was sought.
Rising star Troy Wittman has answered the call and plans to spoil Martinez’ return to the cage. Wittman tells MyMMANews:
“It’s kill or be killed, I don’t plan to win any decisions. I was able to take the fight in a month’s notice because I am always ready. Will’s fans will be disappointed because I’m not just going to beat him. I plan to finish him and take all his hype home with me.”
Wittman (4-1) is on a four-fight win-streak, all by KO or TKO. He holds wins over Rick Nuno, Anthony McGlynn, Shawn Joffee, and Justin Lesko.
The fight goes down Oct. 21 at the historic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
