“Well, the cat’s out of the bag. I will be once again fighting on Dana White’s Contender Series for a UFC contract on August 18th against Wisconsin’s No. 1 ranked heavyweight, Chad Johnson,” Parisian said. With both of us having a ridiculous first-round finish rate, It’s safe to say it’s going to be a banger.”

In June 2018, Josh Parisian took a short notice fight on season two of the show. Parisian landed a spinning back-fist to earn the first-round knockout against Greb Rebello.

The highlight knockout earned him a spot on season 28 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Parisian was eliminated with a second-round TKO loss to Michel Batista in the first round of the tournament.

Since then, Parisian won five of his last six bouts, including five-straight TKO finishes.

He most recently put away Marcus Maulding at WXC 86 on Jan. 29.

Johnson is coming off a first-round TKO win against Calyn Hill at LFA 77 in September 2019. The 33-year-old has gone past the first round once in seven professional fights.
