Tyron Woodley releases statement after split decision loss to Jake Paul: ‘Shit seem fishy in Cleveland’
Tyron Woodley thought he clearly won his boxing match against Jake Paul and wants a rematch.
Woodley, the former UFC welterweight champion, was on a four-fight losing skid and taking on Paul in what was a very anticipated bout. However, for many, the bout didn’t live up to expectations as both men didn’t throw much volume, but Woodley did stun Paul once. In the end, it was Paul who won by split decision and in the ring, they agreed to a rematch as long as the former UFC champ gets the ‘I Love Jake Paul’ tattoo on him.
After the fight, Woodley took to Instagram to make it clear he wants the rematch.

“Thanks for all the support. Really appreciate the love. Let’s talk. Ropes can keep you up and NO DRUG TEST? TF they take my pee for in the back. Run it back! @davechappelle Said so! Shit seem fishy in Cleveland. Let’s run it in St. Louis,” Woodley wrote on Instagram.
Woodley then posted another statement on Instagram asking where the tattoo artist is so he can get the rematch with Paul.
“@tatubaby Where you at? Let’s get this shit over with so I can body @jakepaul,” Woodley added.
Although Woodley wants the rematch, it’s uncertain it will happen. Paul won the fight and there isn’t much need for him to run it back as he could box other former UFC fighters or Tommy Fury. However, perhaps if Woodley does get the tattoo they do run it back, and as Woodley says, not in Cleveland as he thought some things were fishy. The lack of drug tests are also interesting as Firas Zahabi and Woodley accused Paul of using PEDs and he said they would be drug tested throughout fight week but that never came to fruition.
