UAE Warriors Set For Hot Summer Double Header
In a recent press release, UAE Warriors announced another back-to-back double header for 2024, similar to how they started the year. The first event is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2024 which will be UAE Warriors 51. The second event will follow Sunday, July 28, 2024, with UAE Warriors 52: Arabia 14. UAE Warriors 51 and UAE Warriors 52 will be available to watch live around the world on UFC FIGHT PASS and on Abu Dhabi Fight in the UAE.
UAE Warriors 51
The UAE Warriors 51 card will showcase the first title defense of lightweight champion Amru Magomedov (8-0) defending against Ali Kabdula (9-2-1) in the night’s main event. Magomedov trains at the renowned Nurmagomedov team under the likes of Khabib and current UFC champion Islam Makhachev. The 25-year-old Magomedov is riding a four-fight first-round finish streak with three of those by rear-naked choke. He also has decision wins under his belt showing he can go and dominant the distance as well. Kabdula is looking to rebound from a decision loss in his last cage appearance. A dangerous finisher in his own right, all nine of his pro wins have come by the finish, five by submission and four by KO/TKO.
In the co-main event, Italian Walter Cogliandro (14-4-1) will look to battle Peruvian Vicente Vargas (21-6) stepping in on late notice. Cogliandro is seeking his fourth-straight victory. His last appearance was a first-round knockout at UAE Warriors 45. Vargas can also claim a four-fight winning streak if victorious, coming off of a knocokut win at UAE Warriors 48. The winner could find themselves sitting nicely in a future title shot at featherweight.
UAE Warriors 52
Sunday’s card will feature devastating light heavyweights as France’s Kevin Oumar (9-4) battles South Sudan’s “King John” Mohamed Juma (9-6). Oumar has won two of his last three UAE Warriors appearances, last victorious via decision at UAE Warriors 38. With the majority of his wins by finish (six) Oumar will look for the submission to have the sixth submission win against an opponent who has suffered half of his losses by submission.
Juma, a veteran of PFL, has struggled as of late but started his career on a seven-fight winning streak including a first-round knockout at UAE Warriors 19. The winner of this bout will have double-digit wins in the career and for Oumar, it could be a huge statement win to the rest of the division.
