UFC 249 salaries released – Lowest $12K, Highest $500K

UFC 249 saw a number of fighters walking away with big pay days as six fighters earned over six figures. Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson walked with the most money given their main event position which ultimately ended up earning a “Fight of the Night” bonus.

MMA Junkie reported the earnings from last weekends event after obtaining a list of disclosed UFC 249 salaries from the Florida State Boxing Commission, who oversaw Saturday’s event.

Gaethje (22-2) left Jacksonville, Fla. with an interim lightweight championship and earned $350,000. Meanwhile, Ferguson, who saw his 12 fight winning streak come to an end, left with the highest pay our of anyone on the card by making $500,000. Both numbers are base salaries and do not include their additional $50,000 dollars for their “Fight of the Night” bonus.

In the co-main event, both UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo (16-2) and Dominick Cruz (22-3) also received six figure payouts after their fight in which Cejudo stopped Cruz late in the second round. Cejudo earned $350,000, while Cruz made $300,000.

The numbers do not include money paid by sponsors or deductions for insurance, licenses and taxes. The pay also does not include pay-per-view cuts for some of the top-level fighters or any other special discretionary bonuses.
