UFC eyes Youssef Zalal vs. Seungwoo Choi at UFC’s Oct. 10 event
Youssef Zalal is at it again.
After already being the UFC’s most active fighter in 2020 with three fights, the featherweight is booked again. He is set to take on Seungwoo Choi at UFC’s Oct. 10 event.
First reported by MMA Junkie, the UFC is targeting the booking, but has not made an official announcement.
It’s been a busy year for Zalal. He made his promotional debut this past February, earning a unanimous decision against Austin Lingo at UFC 247. Zalal followed up with another unanimous decision over Jordan Griffin at UFC on ESPN 12 in June.
Youssef Zalal most recently picked up his third-straight decision win against Peter Barrett at UFC Fight Night 174 on Aug. 8. He started the year off not even on the UFC roster, but is building a reputation as an active fighter rather quickly.
Choi is coming off his first octagon victory, a unanimous-decision victory against Suman Mokhtarian at UFC on ESPN+ 23 this past December. It came after back-to-back defeats to Gavin Tucker and Movsar Evloev.
Choi is not one to go all three rounds often, finishing five of his eight victories.
There is no official venue or location announced for the event just yet.
