UFC Fight Night Japan – Hunt vs. Nelson Results, Super Samoan first to KO Big Country, The Jury is Out on Myles
UFC Fight Night Japan Hunt vs. Nelson aired live here in the U.S. very early in the morning on the east coast. The event took place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Mark Hunt becomes the first man to knock out Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson inside the UFC octagon as he stops him at exactly 3:00 in the second round.
Myles Jury made a statement putting away the legend in the Fireball Kid, Takanori Gomi in the very first round. Just seconds before the win UFC commentators Michael Goldberg and Brian Stann talked about how Gomi believed Jury does not have the experience to stand and trade with him.
With this win Jury once again show significant improvements and that he is a top contender and a significant threat in his division.
Yoshohiro Akiyama had his finest performance inside the octagon as he bloodied and bruised Ultimate Fighter season 7 winner Amir Sadollah en route to a unanimous decision victory.
Miesha Tate and Rin Nakai made UFC history as the pair put on the first ever UFC female fight in Japan. Tate would ultimately go on to win a decision over the previously undefeated Nakai.
