UFC rebooks Ed Herman vs. Da Un Jung for Aug. 1
The UFC is adding a middleweight bout to its Aug. 1 event between Ed Herman and Da Un Jung. FightBookMMA was first to report the fight.
The two were originally booked to fight on May 2 on the UFC Oklahoma City card, but the event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Herman (25-14, 1 NC) is coming off of back-to-back wins over Patrick Cummins and Khadis Ibragimov. Prior to those wins, he had lost three in a row. Herman is a veteran of the sport, as his pro career has lasted 17 years.
Jung (13-2) is riding a 12 fight winning streak and is currently 2-0 in the UFC with a submission win over Ibragimov and a first-round stoppage over Mike Rodgriguez.
The Aug. 1 event will be headlined between former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm and Irene Aldana. The event is expected to take at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
