UFC targeting Ray Borg vs. Merab Dvalishvili for June 13
A bantamweight fight between Ray Borg and Merab Dvalishvili is in the works for the UFC’s June 13 event. MMA Junkie was first to posted the news of the fight announcement.
Borg (13-5) had his two-fighting winning streak snapped at the UFC’s May 30 card as he lost to Ricky Simon by a split decision. Borg competed for the UFC flyweight title back in 2017, losing to Demetrious Johnson in one of the best submissions of all time,
Dvalishvili (10-4) will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak. His last outing came in February, when he defeated Casey Kennedy.
The promotions June 13 card will be headlined by a women’s flyweight bout between former title challenger Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo, who will be making her debut at 125-pounds. The event is expected to take place in Las Vegas, pending approval from the Nevada Athletic Commission. The NAC is scheduled to meet on Monday, which they will decide on whether or not they will host the fight card.
