UFC Vegas 17: Karl Roberson and Dalcha Lungiambula OFF after Roberson tests positive
UFC Vegas 17 takes another hit a day before the event is set to begin. The middleweight scrap featuring Karl Roberson and Dalcha Lungiambula is off due to Roberson testing positive for Covid-19 again. First, the news circulated after Roberson released an Instagram story early Friday morning. In the statement he explained that he was once again removed due to Covid-19 complications. Initially, the bout was scheduled for UFC 256, but due to Roberson testing positive prior to the event, it was too removed from the bout list.
Now UFC Vegas 17 will take place in Las Vegas, at the UFC Apex, broadcasted on ESPN+ 4 PM ET. Before the mishap with the positive test, Roberson was in a frenetic back and forth with the rising contender, Marvin Vettori. Despite losing the bout, he definitely showed his willingness to exchange. Roberson is coming off a loss, but before that, he rattled off back-to-back victories against, Wellington Turman and Roman Kopylov.
Karl Roberson and Dalcha Lungiambula Removed Again
Likewise, Lungiambula is also looking to bounce back, after a tough loss against Magomed Ankalaev, where he lost by head-kick knockout. However, prior to the finish, the product of Camp Fight amassed an impressive five-fight win streak. Just like their scheduled bout earlier this month, Lungiambula will again, have to sit on the sidelines.
Given the removal of the bout between Karl Roberson and Dalcha Lungiambula, the remaining bouts scheduled for UFC Vegas 17 include:
