UFC Vegas 53 results – Font vs. Vera
The UFC is back in Las Vegas on Saturday with UFC Vegas 53. The event will be held at the promotion’s UFC Apex and has a 4pm ET start time for preliminary bouts. MyMMANews.com has the results below.
In the main event, bantamweights Rob Font and Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera were supposed to meet at no more than 136-pounds. Yesterday however, Font missed weight by 2.5 pounds and chose not to continue his cut.
Prior to the fight, Font spoke with MyMMANews about the matchup with Vera, lessons from his loss to Aldo and crediting his girlfriend for his journey into the UFC and now becoming one of the best bantamweights in the world. Check out the interview with John Eric Poli below.
