UFC Vegas 9 results – Overeem vs. Sakai
The UFC is back at it again on Saturday night with UFC Vegas 9, live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event, which will be broadcast entirely on ESPN+, will be headlined by big men Alistair Overeem and Augusto Sakai. Overeem, a former heavyweight title contender, looks to move back into contention once again before calling it quits on a what has been a legendary career.
Fights begin at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, an hour after originally scheduled following the cancelation of two fights due to positive COVID-19 tests.
Thiago Moises was pulled after testing positive. Fellow American Top Team fighter Marcos Rogerio de Lima was infected by the virus, forcing the cancellation of his heavyweight clash with Alexander Romanov.
