Undefeated Brazilian Prodigy Commits Long-Term Future To ‘The Pit’, Sets Sights On Karate Combat World Lightweight Championship

Karate Combat, the global leader in full-contact professional karate competition, announced today that it has signed undefeated Brazilian phenom Bruno de Assis to a new extended agreement.

With a 4-0 Karate Combat record, including two wins by stoppage, ‘The White Dragon’ has drawn a growing global fanbase with his all-action fighting style and explosive fight finishes.

The new multi-fight, multi-year deal commits Assis exclusively to Karate Combat until at least 2024, with the Brazilian focused on his goal to become a Karate Combat world champion.

“I am really happy to have signed this new deal. Karate Combat is my home and I look forward to doing big things here. I’m going to take that world championship back to Brazil and then I’m going to keep it for a long time,” said Assis, fighting out of Campinas, Brazil.

“Bruno Assis has made a big impression with Karate Combat fans: he has world-class skills and he’s always looking to finish the fight. The fans love that, we love that, and that’s why we are delighted to sign him to this new contract,” said Adam Kovacs, Karate Combat president.

One of the sporting world’s most unique properties, Karate Combat combines an ancient art with cutting-edge technology to create a stunning entertainment experience for today’s global audience.

The power of the Epic Games Unreal Engine (Fortnite) is harnessed to create stunning virtual backdrops which set the stage for ‘real fights in unreal worlds’. Among the confirmed environments for Season 3 are Feudal Japan and Hollywood.

Season 3, fronted by newly-announced ‘Season Sensei’ Georges St-Pierre, is currently in production and will premiere later this year as 12 weekly episodes. Further details will be announced via Karate.com in the near future.
