Valerie Loureda makes in-ring WWE debut at NXT event
Former Bellator MMA superstar Valerie Loureda made her in-ring pro wrestling debut with WWE on Saturday night.
The retired professional mixed martial artist debuted at a NXT live event in Orlando, Florida.
Loureda worked the opening match by teaming with Xyon Quinn and Bronco Nima to take on Chase U (Andre Chase, Duke Hudson and Thea Hail).
Loureda reported to the WWE Performance Center on July 19, just days after leaving MMA competition. She made her debut at an NXT event in Cocoa, Florida, where she did a promo, but didn’t wrestle.
Back in June, Loureda tweeted:
“I am honored to become the first Cuban American woman in history to sign with the WWE. I come from a family of immigrants, now it’s my time to represent our Latin culture, I was destined for this. Thank you for this opportunity @WWE
“@WWENXT I will make you proud. AZUCAR! #305”
