Veta Arteaga and Desiree Yanez went at it for the full 15 minute scheduled contest and when it was all said and done, it was Arteaga who left the Mohegan Sun Arena with a majority decision victory.
Arteaga (6-4) was the aggressor throughout the fight and even rocked Yanez (5-3) in the second round with hard punch. While the former title challenger rocked Yanez in that round, she was deducted a point in that round for an illegal knee.
Yanez had her moments in the fight as she secured several takedowns and landed some nice strikes of her own.
