VIDEO: Fighter’s hair ripped from head during armbar defense
MMA fighter Ahmed Mohamed Sobhy saw his hair ripped from his head at Zaruba Fight Night 6 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Feb. 10.
Sobhy was defending an armbar from Robbie Scott when the incident happened. It is unknown at this time if the hair that came loose was real or synthetic.
It appears as if Sobhy cried out in pain, but no visible tap is seen. The officiating referee called a halt to the action and after a lengthy replay review, the stoppage was overturned, and the bout was ruled a no-contest.
