Robbie Lawler’s warm welcome back to the American Top Team academy in Coconut Creek, Florida with the UFC welterweight belt.
In the main event at UFC 181 this past weekend Lawler defeated then champion Johny Hendricks via Split Decision (48-47, 47-48, 49-46)
The welterweight championship fight was a rematch of a fight from earlier this year where Lawler and Hendricks would battle for the vacant title after Georges St. Pierre walked away from the sport. Hendricks won that fight.
