Video: Shara Magomedov remains undefeated, stops Antonio Trocoli at UFC Saudi Arabia
The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to us today, June 22, 2024, for UFC Saudi Arabai / UFC on ABC 6, going down live from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Headlining the event is a 185 lb clash between no. 3 ranked former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker (25-7) and Ikram Aliskerov (15-1). Whittaker was originally slated to face no. 11 ranked Khamzat Chimaev in this evening’s main event, though Chimaev was forced from the bout with an illness and replaced by one of his former foes in Aliskerov.
Co-headlining the event is a heavyweight bout between no. 3 ranked former FNG heavyweight champion Sergei Pavlovich (18-2) and no. 5 ranked former Bellator and M-1 Challenge heavyweight champion Alexander Volkov (37-10).
Our second bout going down on the main card this afternoon came in the middleweight division between Sharabutdin Magomedov (13-0) and Antonio Trocoli (12-4).
Shara Magomedov came into the bout fresh off his promotional debut last October, a victory over fellow knockout artist Bruno Silva (UD), and was originally slated to face Joilton Lutterbach at this event. Lutterbach was however forced from the bout after failing a pre-fight drug test earlier in the week.
Trocoli on the other hand was originally slated to face Ikram Aliskerov in last weekend’s co-main event. Once Aliskerov was pulled from that bout so he could face Whittaker this evening Trocoli was matched up with Magomedov today for his UFC debut.

Magomedov landed a couple good leg kicks to begin the bout, Trocoli controlling the center and landing a pair of solid right hands in return before tying up with the Russian along the fence.
The two separated and Magomedov landed a good straight right hand followed by another leg kick, Trocoli of which again soon after tied up with him and kept him against the fence for the remaining minute or so of the opening round.
Magomedov picked Trocoli apart with his kicks through much of the middle stretch though he was again pressed into the fence while successfully defending Trocoli’s takedown attempts.
As Trocoli began to tire Magomedov really started teeing off on him, first landing a knee up the middle and following it up with a barrage of punches to secure the stoppage victory midway through the third and final round.
