Video surfaces of Mike Perry punching man in restaurant dispute

A video surfaced on Wednesday night, July 8, showing UFC welterweight Mike Perry punching a man outside of a restaurant. 

In the video posted by MMA Eejit via Twitter on Tuesday, Perry, accompanied by girlfriend Latory Gonzalez, is shown being led out of the restaurant by an unknown woman. 

TMZ reported the incident took place at Table 62 in Lubbock, Texas on Tuesday night, July 7. My MMA News attempted to contact the Lubbock Police Department.

Perry, 28, resisted leaving and began to with the woman and man. Bystanders attempt to calm Perry down and ask him to leave, but Perry continues the dispute.

At one point, Perry tells the man, “I’ll knock your old ass out.” The man says, “You do it, mother(expletive)!”

Perry replies “Yeah, let’s go you fat piece of [expletive]” before punching the man and allegedly knocking him down. 

According to TMZ’s report, Perry was asked to leave the establishment by restaurant management, but Perry responded by punching the employee. The report also stated a police report was filed, but no arrests were made. It said Perry left the restaurant without paying the bill and the restaurant is considering pressing charges for theft.

Perry posted a series of cryptic messages via Twitter on Tuesday, July 7.

“I hope judgement day is coming. I hope all you filthy mouth losers burn in the shit hole sewers of hell. All you will see, smell & hear is nightmares of vomit and feces drowning you for eternity. Your life sucks so you hate on beauty you will never have but it will only get worse,” Perry said. 

If you see us in public and you get too close, I’m gonna hit you. Social distancing says you gotta stay 6 feet away from us. You come in my bubble you getting Sparta kicked in the nuts and [expletive] stone cold stunnered [expletive] !

 

Perry said, “Please try me. I promise I will baptize you in the name of street Jesus!”

About two hours after the video was released, Perry posted via Twitter again at 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Perry wrote, “No comment.”

 

Mike Perry is fresh off a unanimous decision win against Mickey Gall at UFC on ESPN 12 on June 27. Perry made the walk to the octagon with Gonzalez, who served as his lone cornerman for the bout.  

The victory snapped a two-fight losing streak, including losses to Geoff Neal and Vincente Luque.
