Two title fights were to top the stacked pay-per-view event as UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira was to defend his strap against challenger Justin Gaethje in the night’s main event. Unfortunately, Oliveira missed weight and was stripped of the title. Even if he defeats Gaethje on Saturday, he cannot win the gold.
In the co-main event slot, UFC women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas defends her title in a rematch against former champion Carla Esparza.
Also, former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler meets former UFC interim lightweight title holder, Tony Ferguson.
