ONE Championship (ONE) electrified the Singapore Indoor Stadium with ONE on Prime Video 2: Xiong vs. Lee III. The event featured a plethora of exciting finishes, a historic battle for the inaugural ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Championship, and a trilogy showdown for the ONE Women’s Strawweight World Title.

ONE Championship, in partnership with leading premium lifestyle and luxury performance brand TUMI, presented the prestigious ONE World Title belt to the World Champions.

In the main event, reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan retained her belt, defeating ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee by a close unanimous decision.

Xiong came out firing boxing combinations in the first round, tagging Lee with a plethora of hooks that stunned the Singaporean-American star and sent her crashing to the ground for a near finish. Surprisingly, Lee chose to stand with “The Panda” in the early going, before turning to her vaunted grappling in the second frame. However, Xiong survived the exchanges and moved the fight back into a striking war.

The championship rounds featured back-and-forth action, with each competitor having their moments. In the end, all three judges scored the bout in favor of Xiong to win by unanimous decision, as she successfully defended her gold and beat Lee for the second time in three meetings.

In the co-main event, Mikey Musumeci became ONE’s first-ever Submission Grappling World Champion with a unanimous decision victory over longtime rival Cleber Sousa. Musumeci was aggressive from the opening bell, showcasing a diverse array of leg attacks that kept Sousa on the defensive. The Brazilian tried his best to escape each attempt, but “Darth Rigatoni” was always prepared with another submission from his back pocket. In the end, Musumeci took home a unanimous decision and the inaugural ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Title.

In a catchweight contest, #1-ranked atomweight contender Stamp Fairtex faced #5-ranked Jihin Radzuan in an electric MMA showdown. Both women looked to trade strikes in the early going, with each finding moments of success. As the bout wore on, however, Stamp began to land the cleaner and more powerful blows. She also displayed her improved grappling skills by taking Jihin’s back and nearly completing a rear-naked choke. A huge standing elbow dropped Jihin in round three, and the Thai superstar attempted to swarm her on the mat. However, the resilient Malaysian caught the Fairtex fighter in an armbar and nearly forced a submission. In the end, Stamp took home a unanimous decision victory to the roar of the crowd at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Ilya Freymanov made a stunning ONE Championship debut by finishing former two-division ONE World Champion and current #3-ranked featherweight contender Martin Nguyen. The Russian stalwart was sharp and accurate with his punches, hurting Nguyen on multiple occasions early in the fight. In the latter half of the first round, Freymanov connected with a knee to the jaw and a straight right that dropped Nguyen, and he followed that up with a relentless barrage of punches to force the stoppage. Freymanov earned a US$50,000 bonus for his upset victory.

A fiery lightweight skirmish between promotional newcomer Halil Amir and #3-ranked contender Timofey Nastyukhin kicked off ONE on Prime Video 2’s main card. Action started almost immediately, as each man launched bombs from the hip. After an exciting first round, Amir hurt Nastyukhin early in round two with a punch and then finished off the Russian with a ferocious flurry of strikes to earn a KO victory. Following his impressive performance, the undefeated Turk also netted a US$50,000 bonus.
