Xiong Jing Nan vs Ayaka Miura is a title clash that bolsters the first quarter of the ONE Championship 2022 schedule. The main event bout goes down at ONE: Heavy Hitters on Friday, January 14th from Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Jing Nan has the distinction of being the inaugural ONE women’s strawweight world champion. The Panda has not relinquished her hold on the gold since claiming that throne.

Miura is the number four ranked contender in the weight category. Zombie looks to disrupt the near four-year championship reign of Xiong.

Both combatants are record-holders inside the ONE Circle within the strawweight category. Jing Nan has the divisional knockout record with three striking-based finishes. Conversely, Miura has the record for most divisional submissions, also at 3.

Xiong Jing Nan looks to notch the sixth successful defense of her championship belt in this upcoming fight. She carved out her name during a lengthy tenure in Kunlun Fight before her late 2017 debut with ONE Championship.

Jing Nan has a 16-2 record overall with her only losses coming outside of her weight division (a 132 lb catchweight against Colleen Schneider. Plus, an atomweight title bid against Angela Lee who Jing Nan previously beat in a strawweight title collision).

Ayaka Miura has a one hundred percent submission rate in ONE with four scarf hold Americana submission wins across four ONE Championship victories. She is also a veteran of the Pancrase and DEEP Jewels circuits prior to debuting with ONE.

Miura rebounded from her lone loss in the ONE Circle to former strawweight title contender Tiffany Teo. She did so by besting Rayane Bastos at ONE: Dangal in May.

ONE Championship has also announced a handful of additional events for their early schedule as the new calendar year looms. ONE: Only The Brave transpires on January 28th with subsequent cards set for February 11th, February 25th, March 11th, and March 26th.
