Complete Bellator 115 Results – Minakov Denies Kongo

In what may have been the longest opening round to a five-round title fight, Vitaly Minakov saw one point deducted as he unintentionally hit heavyweight title challenger Cheick Kongo in the groin area, not once but twice at Bellator 115.

Referee Herb Dean halted the contest twice before taking the point away from the champion.

Later in the bout the Russian fighter’s pace began to diminish but he was able to finish strong earning a unanimous decision victory over Kongo.

The MyMMA News Fight of the Night goes to Herman Terrado and Justin Baesman as the two put on an exciting fight that resulted with neither being declared a victor.  The judges concluded that the bout would be ruled a draw.

Kelly Anundson put on a wrestling clinic in his matchup with Volkan Oezdemir.  Anundson who is known as “Crossface” used that very technique, to apply a neck crank forcing Oezdemir to tap out in the second round.  For his effort Anundson earned the MyMMA News Submission of the Night.
