UFC 172 Results – Jon Jones defeats Glover Teixeira

The UFC came to Baltimore, Md., for the first time ever in the organization’s history, April 26.  Below are the complete results of the UFC 172 lineup.

Main Card (Live on PPV, 10:00 PM ET)

Jon Jones defeated Glover Teixeira via unanimous decision (50 – 45 x3)

Anthony Johnson defeated Phil Davis via unanimous decision (30-27 x3)

Luke Rockhold defeated Tim Boetsch via submission due to a kimura at 2:08 in Round 1.  Boetsch was in a lot of trouble from the get-go.  Was instantly in reverse triangle-choke and also applied the kimura.

Jim Miller defeated Yancy Meideiros via guillotine choke at 3:18 in Round 1.  Miller ties Gleison Tibau for most wins in UFC lightweight history with 13.

Max Holloway defeated Andre Fili via guillotine choke at 3:39 in the Round 3

Preliminary Bouts (Live on Fox Sports 1. 8:00 PM ET)

Joseph Benavidez defeated Tim Elliot via guillotine choke at 4:08 in Round 1.  Both of Elliot’s arms were trapped and he had to tap out with his feet.

Takanori Gomi defeated Isaac Vallie-Flagg via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Bethe Correia defeated Jessamyn Duke via unanimous decision  (30-27, 29-28, and 30-27)

Danny Castillo knocked out Charlie Brenneman with a devastating right-hand punch at 0:21 of Round 2.

Preliminary Bouts (Live on UFC Fight Pass, 7:00 PM ET)

Chris Beal defeats Patrick Williams via KO from a flying knee at 1:52 of Round 2
