4 Title Bouts Announced for ONE: Inside The Matrix

ONE Championship has stacked their October 30th event. ONE: Inside The Matrix will showcase four championships bouts.

The powerhouse Asian MMA promotion has been coming back post-COVID 19 hiatus with some quality cards but this is taking things to an entirely new level. Promotional figurehead Chatri Sityodtong and announced the title bouts earlier today on his personal social media.

The main event attraction is between two-division titlist Aung La N Sang and middleweight title challenger Reinier Deridder. N Sang’s last bout saw him defending his light heavyweight hardware. He when he stopped reigning ONE heavyweight king Brandon Vera at ONE Century Part II in October of last year.

Deridder’s last outing saw him best Jiu-Jitsu savant Leandro Ataides in February to improve his record to 12-0.

Christian Lee is looking to maintain his grasp on the lightweight crown when he steps in there to fight Iuri Lapicus. He won the lightweight title in May of last year against Shinya Aoki and Lee’s last bout saw him capture the ONE lightweight grand prix championship against Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev in October 2019.

Lapicus looks to get in the way of Lee’s first successful title defense. His last prizefight saw him strangle Marat Gafurov sixty-seven seconds into the opening round with a rear-naked choke.

ONE: Inside The Matrix

Martin Nguyen will return to action and defends his featherweight championship against Thanh Le. Nguyen has been seated on this throne since August 2017. He has emerged as a preeminent star in ONE and has maintained a firm grasp on that world championship.

Le is unbeaten under the ONE Championship banner. He is riding a three-fight win streak with the promotion heading into this title bid.

Xiong Jingnan will be defending her women’s strawweight belt in a rematch with Tiffany Teo. Jingnan halted Teo via TKO in the fourth round of their initial fight in January 2018 to claim the inaugural ONE strawweight belt.

Since that furs fight, Jingnan racked up multiple defenses since that bout and Teo defeated two top-five contenders in Michelle Nicolini as well as Ayaka Miura.
