51-year-old Titan FC COO Lex McMahon stepping back into cage for second pro MMA bout
Lex McMahon, the 51-year-old Titan Fighting Championship (Titan FC) Chief Operating Officer (COO), will make a second journey to cage on December 9.
McMahon, who secured his first professional mixed martial arts victory at 49-year of age in 2020, will compete at Fighting Force 10 in the Dominican Republic and just as he did in his first fight, “The Great White Buffalo” will donate his fight purse and sponsorship in support of military charities.
McMahon currently serves on the board of directors for AHERO. The organization is 501(3)(c) nonprofit focused on military veteran issues. AHERO connects Veterans through outdoor activities as a means to recover from their physical wounds and psychological trauma to reintegrate with American life.
The Titan FC frontman finished Justin Thornton by way of first-round rear-naked-choke submission at Fighting Force 4. McMahon stated that his intentions for competing in MMA at the time were two-fold. He felt that he couldn’t ask young fighters to compete for him and the Titan FC promotion without knowing first-hand what they went through. His other reason, aside from supporting charities, was to test himself.
McMahon made the announcement of his upcoming fight on social media last week.

“Never say never again…I’m honored to step into the cage one more time to fight for important causes. #########
I will be donating my purse and sponsorships to @ahero_usa and @marinetoysfortotsfoundation as I raise awareness about mental health, PTSD, Veteran and First Responder suicide and supporting children in need.
.##################I’ll be fighting Dec 9th back in my home away from home Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
At 51 years of age this is not about glory or money, it’s about doing the right thing, extending the helping hand and leading by example so that others may join the cause to uplift and improve the lives of our fellow man.#########
A life of service is a life worth living! ######################
