Will Baxter looks to become double champ against Darryl Booker at BCM Fight Night 10

Will Baxter will look to win his second title when he faces Darryl Booker for the light heavyweight championship in the main event of BCM Promotions’ Fight Night XI next month.

Baxter, who trains at Apex Fight Systems in Akron, drops down from heavyweight after winning that title over Vester Harris at Fight Night 10 in August. Nicknamed “50 cal”, Baxter has won his two fights this year, as he opened 2022 with a decision victory over Damascus Mosley at Caged Thunder 15. Four of his wins are via knockout or TKO, and he’s ranked as the No. 3 amateur heavyweight in Ohio according to Tapology with a 6-3 overall record.

Booker, who hails from Dayton, also looks for his second straight title win, as he won the 205-pound crown with a first-round submission over Edwin Taylor at Bizzarro Promotions’ Clash at the Casino in July. He has won three of his last four bouts, also with a win over Mosley last year. He has five of his six wins via stoppage and sits as the No. 1 ranked heavyweight and light heavyweight in Ohio with a 6-3 overall record.

Also set for Fight Night XI is a middleweight bout featuring Vester Harris against Chase Archangelo. Harris competes for the sixth time in 2022, as he has made the drop from heavyweight at the beginning of the year to 185 pounds. He holds a 4-5 overall record but was on a three-fight winning streak to start the year before back-to-back losses in his last two.

Originally from Delaware, Archangelo wrestled at Cleveland State University and now trains with Strong Style Fight Team in the Cleveland area. He’s picked up a pair of first round stoppages since making his amateur debut just over a year ago.

BCM Promotions: Fight Night XI takes place on Nov. 12 at Fairhaven Hall in Mansfield, Ohio.
