6-pack of additions to Combate World Championship
The card for June 28’s Combate Americas event “Quintana vs. Cannetti II” has expanded with six new fights added.
A women’s Bantamweight bout has taken the co-main event slot with Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzales-Mean clashing with Marillia “Tigress” Fanta. Fit NHB’s Gonzales-Means picked up her fifth win by knockout when she beat Tamikka Brents this past October. Nicknamed “Boom Boom,” Gonzales has won titles in King of the Cage & Sugar Creek Showdown. Fanta, a Brazilian now training in Miami, is a two-time Muay Thai World Champion who has all three of her MMA wins by stoppage.
In the feature fight position UFC and LFA vet, Joby Sanchez takes on Jaime Alvarez, who’s fought for The Contender Series & Titan FC. Sanchez a Los Lunas, NM, fire fighter has finishes in 8 of his 12 wins. Alvarez is on a 4-fight win streak, 3 by knockout
The featured prelim bout will be at Middleweight. Fit NHB’s Roman “La Bestia” Alcantar goes up against fellow Mexican native now residing in Albuquerque, NM, Juan Ramon “Tyson” Grano Medina. Younger brother of headliner Andres Quintana, Javier Cepeda, who is also a pro Boxer will face Jesus Villegas of Des Plaines, Ill, makes his pro debut. Welterweights Patrick Ayala and Daniel Martinez face off as both make their pro debuts.
Lastly, Shyann Farmer from Alamogordo, NM, looks for her first pro win when she fasces Criszaida Adames of Philadelphia, PA, who’s making her pro debut.
