Action Bronson Added To UFC 4 Roster As Franchise Fans Voice Their Displeasure

News flash! Rapper and chef Action Bronson has been added as a surprise playable character to UFC 4 in their latest UFC update patch 13.0. The additive has been met with a rather mixed reception from fans, with multiple high-profile UFC fighters still missing from the Electronic Arts project. EA sports are yet to address the criticisms, but Bronson remains ecstatic over the release.

Taking to social media last week, Bronson wrote the following:

“I’ve been training for months for a very special event and it’s finally here,” Bronson wrote. “I make my debut in the UFC 4 video game today. I’m ready for all challengers! I’ll never turn down a fight. I’ve trained with killllers now it’s time.”

Bronson is in the middle of a life-changing weight loss journey and has incorporated martial arts into his daily routine. Details of his heavy workout regime can be found on his YouTube channel ‘Action Bronson’ where the rapper has been uploading regular content. His workout buddies include UFC Bantamweight Marlon Vera, former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and Jiu Jitsu player Ryron Gracie.

Bronson lent his vocals to the UFC 4 trailer and is a massive MMA fan, so the news has understandably been met with an emphatic response from the 37 year old. That being said, many fans of the franchise have voiced their displeasure over the game’s latest addition. One fan took to Twitter to write “ONLY DONE LIGHT RESEARCH AND HAVEN’T PLAYED IT IN MONTHS BUT… UFC 4 has Dana White, Bruce Buffer, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua AND Action Bronson as playable characters BUT NOT Sean Brady, Islam Makhachev, Shane Burgos or Giga Chikadze”.

In reality, the list of top-level UFC fighters left out of the UFC 4 roster is far larger. Some notable top 15 fighters include: Brandon Royval, Giga Chikadze, Kai Kara-France, Belal Muhammad, Merab Dvalishvili, Sean Strickland, Movsar Evloev, Islam Makhachev, Paul Craig, Bryce Mitchell, Magomed Ankalaev, Chris Daukaus, Gregor Gillespie, Tom Aspinall and Yao Xiaonan.

Bronson’s in-game stats include four star stand-up, three and a half star grappling and four and a half star health.

The latest patch also includes various bug fixes and gameplay improvements as is the case with every update. Full patch notes will be released on the UFC 4 website in due course.

So, with all that in mind, what do you think? Are some fans overreacting? Would you like to see more rappers added to UFC 4? Let us know in the comments below.
