Adam Townsend signs multi-fight contract with Brave, aims title race
Adam Townsend has signed a multi-fight contract with Brave Combat Federation. With an undefeated amateur career of eight wins, “Prime Time” Townsend has a professional record of 19 wins and five losses. Ten out of his nineteen wins came by way of submissions and Adam had never lost a fight to knockout or submission in his career. The lightweight from Hampton, Tennessee has confirmed that he will be competing in South Africa for Brave 19 which will take place on December 8 at the Super Bowl in Sun City Arena.
The event marks the second edition by Brave Combat Federation in the continent of Africa. The fight night will take place during Combat Week Africa which will feature multiple combat sport events taking place during the fight week, including local mixed martial arts bouts taking place during 2nd December followed by Professional Boxing on December 5. South African Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament will be conducted on December 6. The official weigh-ins of Brave Combat Federation will be held on December 7. Brave 19 is organized in association with VodaCom and Sun International alongside Scuffle Media as the local partner.
“I’ll be honest when I tell you that I don’t know very many people in the division or the welterweight division. I’m one of the best fighters in the world and I only fight top quality guys so everyone that I fight inside the brave cage, I know will be a test for me”, said Townsend.Ahead of his debut the fighter has confirmed that his eyes are set at the top tier talent in the division.
Training at D-Evil MMA in USA, Adam did not held back his words from explaining that his aim will be to claim the world championship title of the promotion.
“All I know is that, I am coming for the welterweight or the lightweight title. I am pumped to go to South Africa. It just adds another continent and country to the list that I have fought in. I have checked the place that I will be fighting at and it definitely looks like Brave has a great venue and we will have a great time at fight week. I just can’t wait to put on a show for the Brave nation”, added Townsend.
