The UFC returns to the United States on Halloween night at UFC on ESPN+ 39, Saturday, Oct. 31. Anderson Silva makes his final walk to the octagon in a middleweight headliner against Uriah Hall at the UFC in Las Vegas, Nevada. The co-main event is a featherweight clash between two exciting contenders in Bryce Mitchell and Andre Fili.
Bantamweight Victor Rodriguez (7-2) makes his UFC debut against fellow newcomer Adrian Yanez (11-3) in the prelims. Rodriguez won all seven of his pro fights by stoppages due to strikes and has been victorious in his last four appearances. Yanez earned his UFC deal with a spectacular knockout on Dana White’s Contender Series. On paper, this looks like a stand-up brawl. Yanez has a boxing pedigree and will have absolutely no problem with that at all.

Rodriguez wastes no time closing the distance, pushing Yanez up against the cage. Rodriguez trying to make it a dirty boxing game and lands a knee to the body. Yanez with a nice spin off of the cage and we’re back in the center. These guys are exchanging some combinations as the action intensifies. Yanez is on the prowl and knocks down Rodriguez with a short right. Nice left counter from Rodriguez. This is a battle.
